It is always said that you must keep your professional and personal life apart. But it becomes quite difficult when the person you love is in your office. If you fail to make boundaries in your professional and love life, it might result in ruining your career as well as your love relationship. IT hardly matters that it is one side love or you both love each other. You need to understand that it is very important to maintain a professional demeanor in your office and express your love when you both are alone.
Here are few points you must remember when you and your partner is in same office:
1. Be professional: It is always better to concentrate on your career. Understand the value of your work and cherish your love life after you leave office. If your partner doesn’t understand your or his/her responsibilities as an employee, then it’s your duty to make your partner understand about maintaining boundaries in your personal and professional relationship. Crossing your professional limits in office might result in rude attitude of your coworkers. Thus, you need to make your mind to be professional at work place.
2. Just behave as coworkers: The main problem with lovers in same office is that they keep on pretending in front of others that they are the best couple. Your colleagues might not like this attitude; actually no one cares about your love stories. If you have your partner in same office, try to give each other space. You should spend time with other colleagues also and treat your partner as a coworker not as a loved one.
3. No personal mails or messages: Another thing you need to remember that don’t ever send love mails or messages to your partner in office. Others might see your love mail or by mistake it might be sent to whole company. Just imagine people would be so happy to get a topic for gossiping. This might create a problem for both of you.
There is nothing cool in showing off that you have a girlfriend or boyfriend in office, in fact it is very tough to keep personal and professional relations apart. Keep your love life alive after you leave office or on weekends, it will helpful for both your professional and personal life.

Tough to do that
I am going join the office, where my wife is already an employee. What areas we both have to keep looking for avoiding any grudge/rudeness/ego hurting in our personal as well as professional life??
