While starting a career, we come across many teachers who keep on guiding to get success but a moment comes when we start looking up for a mentor who can refine our capabilities and are inspiration for us to work harder and never let down our passion.
But finding such a person who can keep your spirits high is bit tough but luckily, I got my mentor. He is Harsh Agarwal, who blogs at ShoutMeLoud Blog Network and who is a great inspiration for many bloggers like me. Since I started working with him, I started loving the way he handles and helps his team and keeps them motivated.

Thus, I thought of sharing few factors which make him an awesome mentor and I am sure these factors will surely help you to find your mentor or if you want to be a mentor then these are the qualities you must possess:
- Knows You:
A mentor knows you very well. He/she knows your capabilities and weakness, how to make you work and what to do when you feel distracted from work. It is important that the mentor should be clear about your goals and what kind of work reflects best of you.
- Listens to you:
Mentors or Team leaders are always busy because they have to handle their team as well as work but a good mentor is never busy when his/her team needs help or suggestion. It is important that mentor should listen to your problems, suggestions and give a proper feedback.
- Keeps you passionate:
Working for passion is always worth rather than working just sake of earning. Mentor always keeps you motivated and keeps you passionate while working. Mentor should be optimistic towards the work of the team then only it’s possible to keep others positive about work.
A good mentor is someone who learned from his mistakes, experienced and survived in spite of all the hurdles. Unless a mentor can’t try new things and take risk for letting you try new things, it’s not possible to achieve goals and reach new milestones.
When it comes to handle a single person or a team it is important that mentor must have patience to handle lots of queries, feedback and suggestions from team. Sometimes mentors have to reply to many silly questions from their team or a single person but good mentors always reply to such silly queries with all respect and patience.
I found all of these qualities in my mentor and if you want to be an effective mentor or want to find an effective mentor, don’t forget to look for these factors.
